Wayne Rooney banned from going out solo as Coleen ‘forces him to have chaperone’
Wayne Rooney has reportedly been banned from going out on his own, with wife Coleen 'forcing him to have a chaperone'.
It is claimed by The Sun that Coleen has grown 'tired' of her husband's wild ways.
The couple tied the knot in 2008, but their marriage hasn't been without its issues.
Rooney, now boss of Championship side Derby County, had to apologise to the club and his family last July after he was pictured asleep in a hotel room, surrounded by three scantily-clad women.
There was never any suggestion that the former Manchester United footballer, 36, acted inappropriately.
But according to a source who spoke to The Sun, Coleen has now told pals she does not trust her husband's friends and wants a 'responsible adult' to keep a look out for him.
The source told the newspaper: "Booze has been a central theme every time they’ve hit the rocks. He knows bad things happen when he gets drunk, that he loses control and makes awful decisions.
"Coleen doesn’t trust him or the people he is out with, especially when it involves alcohol. She very much sees him as someone who needs to be kept on the straight and narrow."
The source added that the chaperone would stop Rooney from making 'mistakes'.

Coleen broke her silence on her husband's public cheating scandals in October, calling his behaviour 'unacceptable'.
The mum-of-four says in an official trailer for Rooney on Amazon Prime, which is due to be aired by Amazon this week: "I knew groups Wayne was hanging around. Together with alcohol…not good.
"I forgive him but it wasn't acceptable."
Rooney and Coleen are childhood sweethearts, having met when they were both 12 in Croxteth, Liverpool.
Their relationship didn't start to blossom until they were both 16, right around the time Rooney started to make his mark at Everton.
They have been married for 14 years, but it hasn't always been plain sailing for the couple.
In 2004, the England international admitted to having slept with prostitutes, including one known as 'Auld Slapper' who wore a rubber catsuit.
"Foolish as it now seems I did on occasions visit massage parlours and prostitutes," Rooney admitted in 2004.
"I now regret it deeply and hope people may understand that it was the sort of mistake you make when you are young and stupid.
"It was at a time when I was very young and immature and before I had settled down with Coleen."
