Wales goalkeeper Danny Ward brutally mocked after ‘stinker’ of an own goal
Wales and Leicester goalkeeper Danny Ward was brutally mocked on social media following his blunder against Czech Republic in their World Cup qualifier in Prague.
Wales had taken the lead through Aaron Ramsey but the hosts were level seconds later as Ward pushed a shot back into the path of Jakub Pesek just before the break.
Following the restart, Ramsey put a bit too much on a backpass to his keeper, who would've been expecting to control the pass with ease nonetheless.
Despite Daniel James grabbing a deserved equaliser after the blunder, it will go down as a memorable mistake across all the fixtures on the road to the 2022 World Cup.
One fan wrote: "Danny Ward's own goal was a stinker."
A second said: "Danny Ward costing us the win with 2 mistakes."
A third continued: "FFS keep the ball away from Danny Ward, he's on a hat trick!"
With a fourth saying: "What the f*** is Danny Ward doing."

However, there were plenty more who backed the 28-year-old after he played such a key role in their progression into the knock-out stages of Euro 2020.
One fan wrote: "I just hope Danny Ward knows that he is loved and supported."
A second added: "Best performance for a while, especially without Gareth Bale. Great response after Danny Ward’s calamity an all."
A third said: "Ward has been phenomenal since cementing his number 1 position in the team and this mistake can’t define him."
Ramsey later told Sky Sports of the incident: "On another day we could have had a couple more, but fair play to go 2-1 down in front of this hostile crowd it's a great result.
"Danny [Ward] has been terrific for us, these things happen from time to time but I'm sure there is nothing to be worried about, we're glad he's in goal for us.
"Brilliant to see the fans, I haven't played for a while but I'm delighted to be back scoring goals in front of them, hopefully we will see them in the coming months."
