Raphael Varane's transfer to Manchester United looks on the verge of completion after he shared a FaceTime call with Paul Pogba.
The French internationals are set to become club teammates once United finalise the £42million deal taking Varane to Old Trafford.
United have already confirmed that a fee has been agreed with Real Madrid for the defender's transfer, with an announcement now expected imminently.
And Pogba has teased Varane's arrival already as he posted an image of him chatting to his compatriot over video call on his Instagram account.
Varane was clearly happy at the prospect of joining forces with Pogba in Manchester, as he sported a huge beaming smile which was reciprocated by his France teammate.
Pogba added an 'eyes' emoji for good measure, suggesting everything is now in place for Varane to become a Red Devil before the season kicks off in a few weeks' time.
The update may also put paid to rumours Pogba could be moving on this summer, as the midfielder is seemingly delighted at United's new recruit.
There could well be further arrivals too, after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admitted he was "hopeful that there might be a little more business done by us before the summer window closes."
Varane's arrival fills what has been a problem area for United as he looks poised to partner Harry Maguire at centre-back.
But former United defender Rio Ferdinand believes it won't be plain sailing for the World Cup winner, despite his wealth of experience.
"On paper it looks a very, very good combination [Maguire and Varane]," Ferdinand said on his YouTube channel.
"But he's got to understand the English game is very different. You've got to go to Burnley and places like that.
"It can be up and at 'em, a different style of football in the Premier League to anything he's played in before. Can he deal with it? They're the questions he's going to get asked."
Ferdinand's former England teammate Danny Mills has also warned there may be teething problems for Varane as he settles in at United.
“I think it might take him a little bit of time to adjust to the robustness of the Premier League," Mills said on Sky Sports News.
“We know in Spain you probably get half a dozen of really tough games in the league if you take away the Champions League but in the Premier League it's every single week.
“When you talk to all the foreign players that come over they always talk about the intensity of the Premier League – playing the teams at the bottom you have to fight tooth and nail for 90 minutes every single week – there's no easy games and that will take some getting used to for him."
