United to offer 5 pay rises, Diallo wanted by Sheff Utd, PSG eyeing Pogba deal

After beginning their Premier League campaign with an impressive 5-1 home victory over Leeds United on Saturday, Manchester United are now preparing to offer five of their current stars new contracts.

Bruno Fernandes, Luke Shaw, Marcus Rashford, Harry Maguire and Paul Pogba have all been recommended for new terms by manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Pogba, however, remains a target for French giants Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer with his deal expiring in the summer of 2022.

Teenage winger Amad Diallo also looks set to depart before the end of the window with strong interest from Championship side Sheffield United.

Solskjaer requests new contracts

According to The Sun, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has asked for five of his key players to be offered new contracts at Manchester United to put them on par with the club's highest earners.

Bruno Fernandes is currently contracted until 2026 on a deal worth £100,000 a week but is reportedly set to be offered close to £300,000.

Luke Shaw and Marcus Rashford's deals both have two years left to run and are also earmarked to receive new deals along with England team-mate Harry Maguire also on Solskjaer's list.

Paul Pogba's deal is set to expire at the end of this season but United are working to agree a new contract, with the French midfielder reportedly encouraged by the signings of Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane this summer.

Diallo wanted by Blades

Teenage winger Amad Diallo is wanted on loan by Championship side Sheffield United with the club hoping to seal a deal for the Ivorian soon.

Diallo joined United from Atalanta last season and is allowed to leave Old Trafford on a temporary basis this summer.

He was not part of the United squad for their Premier League opener against Leeds on Saturday having spent his pre-season playing for the Ivory Coast at the Olympics.

PSG continue to pursue Pogba deal

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly set to offer Paul Pogba a £510,000 a week deal as they aim to sign the World Cup winner on a free transfer next summer.

Pogba's deal expires in the summer of 2022 and United had been open to accepting a bid worth £50million this summer.

PSG's signing of Lionel Messi has ruled this out but they remain interested in signing him on a free next year.

Pogba currently earns just under £300,00 a week in Manchester but Solskjaer wants the club to agree a new deal for the Frenchman.

He was in impressive form against Leeds on Saturday, grabbing four assists in the 5-1 win over Leeds.
