Manchester United fans have reacted to the club’s ‘shameless’ decision to delete a tweet advertising their Black Friday sale.
The Red Devils’ official twitter account wrote a post promoting their current discounts but deleted the message shortly after. Many believe this was done in reaction to Cristiano Ronaldo’s bombshell interview, where he labelled United ‘a marketing club’.
And now fans have taken to social media to react to the club’s decision to remove their post just hours after fresh quotes from Ronaldo’s interview had emerged.

In the latest clips released from his interview, which is to be broadcast in full on TalkTV this week, the forward ripped into United owners Joel and Avram Glazer.
‘The owners of the club, the Glazers, they don’t care about the club,’ he said. ‘I mean, professional sport, as you know this, Manchester (United) is a marketing club.
‘They will get its money from the marketing – the sport, they don’t really care, in my opinion.’
That section of the interview surfaced on Twitter timelines at 10pm. At 10:21pm, United’s official account advertised a Black Friday sale, before quickly deleting it.

And fans did not hold back as they brutally trolled the club’s official account for deciding to remove the post.
One user wrote: ‘Bro your biggest player is calling out the ownership of the club and you’re promoting Black Friday deals? Only my club are this shameless. #GlazersOut’.
‘All hell breaking lose and you’re here posting Black Friday deals! This club is hilarious,’ another stated.
‘I think its fitting that video of him calling out the Glazers came out. And then a twitter post (now deleted) promoting black friday deals on the Man United store went up,’ one fan said.

As the interview continued, Ronaldo also urged fans to continue their protest against the Glazers’ ownership.
He said: ‘The fans, they’re always right. I think the fans should know the truth – should now that the players… we want the best for the club.
‘I want the best of the club. This is why I am coming to Manchester United. This is why I love this club.
‘You have some things inside the club which don’t help Manchester (United) reach the top level as City, Liverpool and even now Arsenal, for example… which is complicated, it’s difficult.’
