UFC legend Khabib attends Man Utd game but fans spot huge Ronaldo blunder
UFC legend Khabib Nurmagomedov is at Old Trafford to watch Manchester United play Everton in the Premier League – but the visit probably isn't quite what he expected.
Khabib is good friends with United forward Cristiano Ronaldo and revealed earlier this year how he speaks with the Portuguese star 'almost every day.'
Like most of the club's supporters, the retired Russian brawler probably went to Old Trafford expecting to see CR7 in the starting line-up against the Toffees.
But upon arriving, he and the rest of United's fans were given a shock as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer named a team without Ronaldo, who was dropped to the bench.
Solskjaer selection proved controversial with users on social media, who pointed out the reason for Khabib's visit was to watch his friend play in the flesh.
One fan included a skull emoji in a tweet and said: "Ole benched Ronaldo the day Khabib comes to watch him play."
Someone else added: "He came to watch ronaldo but he’s getting martial ball."
While a third Twitter user chimed in with:" Came all the way to Manchester to find out Ronaldo was benched lol."
Despite Ronaldo's shock omission, the UFC champion still struck a pose for the club's Twitter account – holding up a No.7 shirt with his name on.

The Portuguese completed a sensational return to United from Juventus on Transfer Deadline Day.
The move caught many people by surprise, especially when it seemed as though he would join Juventus, but not Khabib who claimed in September that Ronaldo told him about his planned Old Trafford reunion.
He told reporters: "A month ago, he told me that he was moving to Manchester United.
"I expected this deal to take place. I think that Manchester United is more suitable for him than Juventus. For me, the transition was not a surprise."

"I wouldn't like to reveal our private chat. Well, he told me that he was bored in Italy and that he would like to move to England," Khabib explained.
"For real, when I watch Italian football… I am not a big fan of it. English football, on the contrary, and I would never switch it off.
"No matter which team is playing, it's always a spectacle."
Khabib will have enjoyed the first-half at Old Trafford, with surprise starter Anthony Martial putting the hosts 1-0 up just before the break.
