Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has put imminent signing Romelu Lukaku on the same level as Erling Haaland, Harry Kane and Robert Lewandowski.
The Belgian has landed in Britain ahead of a £97.5m transfer from Inter Milan, seven years after leaving Stamford Bridge.
He arrives after a strong two seasons with the Serie A side, netting 64 times in 95 appearances to help them win a first league title in 11 years.
And Tuchel has compared the 28-year-old to some high-performing strikers in Europe.
Speaking ahead of the Super Cup clash with Villarreal on Wednesday night, the German said: “‘Romelu is one of the guys like Haaland, Lewandowski and Kane.
“A real No 9 who loves to score and has a presence in the box.
“He has the kind of profile we are looking for.”
Haaland was one of six players in Europe to out-score Lukaku in his domestic league, netting 27 times in the Bundesliga compared to the Belgian’s 24 Serie A strikes.
While 14 goals in other competitions took the 21-year-old up to 41 for the campaign, sparking interest for a period in the Borussia Dortmund forward from Chelsea.

The other player mentioned by Tuchel who scored more than Lukaku was Lewandowski, with 41 strikes in Bundesliga and seven more in other competitions.
He did manage to beat Tottenham’s Kane, though, with one more goal than the forward managed in the Premier League.
But this has not stopped the Englishman commanding a £120m fee since expressing his desire to leave White Hart Lane.
Chelsea had also been linked with a deal for the Three Lions captain but Manchester City are now the favourites, despite spending £100m on Jack Grealish.
Lukaku returns to the Blues seven years after he was sold to Everton, having made just 15 appearances for the club following his arrival from Anderlecht in 2011.
After a loan spell at West Brom and four years with the Toffees, he score 42 goals in two years at Manchester United before being sold to Inter in 2019.
