Transfer news LIVE with Man Utd in £115m talks as Chelsea hatch Harry Kane plan

Finally, after weeks of speculation and negotiations – it appears we are approaching the endgame when it comes to the future of West Ham captain Declan Rice. Arsenal are now on the brink of finalising the signing of the 24-year-old midfielder after agreeing a £105million package with their London counterparts.

Rice is expected to undergo a medical in the coming days once the two clubs have resolved their differences regarding the payment structure of the transfer.

Yet more England players could yet be on the move after James Maddison also sealed a £40m transfer to Tottenham from Leicester on Wednesday.

The futures of Mason Mount and Harry Kane continue to dominate the headlines as Manchester United and Bayern Munich continue to work on their arrivals from Chelsea and Tottenham, respectively.

Express Sport has you covered with all the latest news, gossip and done deals from the summer transfer window on June 29.

Arsenal £41m Timber talks ongoing

Arsenal remain in talks with Ajax over a £41m deal for defender Jurrien Timber after striking a £105m agreeement with West Ham for Declan Rice.

The Gunners are understood to have submitted their second formal proposal for the centre-back on Monday and discussions are advanced between the two clubs.

Fabrizio Romano remains confident a deal will be struck as Arsenal close in on both Declan Rice and Timber after landing Chelsea forward Kai Havertz.

Romano said: “Jurrien Timber – second bid submitted on Monday morning from Arsenal. It’s around €45-48m(£38.6m-£41.2m), add-ons included.

“Very positive feeling, at the moment it is not yet a done deal as I’m speaking, but Arsenal are very confident.

“They have an agreement with the player on a five-year contract. So everything is almost ready between Jurrien Timber and Arsenal, just waiting on agreement between clubs. They are advancing very well in conversations.”

Chelsea hatch Kane plan

The Telegraph are reporting that Chelsea have been alerted to the fact Harry Kane is building his dream family home just 15 miles from their Cobham training ground.

The home is taking shape near Wentworth Golf Club and could bolster the Blues’ chances of landing the striker on a free transfer next summer.

Kane is now approaching the final year of his Tottenham deal and he is seemingly prepared to leave on a free transfer in the summer of 2024.

Bayern Munich are continuing to probe but Kane’s future is expected to lie in the Premier League where he is targeting Alan Shearer’s all-time Premier League goalscoring record.

Man Utd £115m double deal talks

Manchester United are currently in talks over the signings of Mason Mount and Inter goalkeeper Andre Onana, according to The Mail.

United had initially walked away from the table for the Chelsea playmaker following three rejected bids but now talks have once again begun between the parties in hope of finding a solution.

Chelsea are now looking for £65m to close the deal and are prepared to meet with United officials in person to get the transfer over the line.

Meanwhile, United are also in concrete talks to sign Onana from Inter, who is rated at £50m by the Champions League finalists.

David de Gea’s future continues to rumble on and it’s believed Onana is viewed as the ideal successor for the Spaniard.

United are yet to strike in the transfer market but there is optimism both deals can be agreed for Erik ten Hag.
