Manchester United have been told Atalanta insist on their full price tag for Rasmus Hojlund – something that might be out of reach after splashing out on Chelsea’s Mason Mount and Inter Milan’s Andre Onana.
After one of the biggest moves of the transfer window, Lionel Messi stepped up to score a late winner for Inter Miami on his debut in the USA.

Manchester United face competition for Rasmus Hojlund from French giants PSG. The Parisian side have started discussions to try and buy the Danish striker from Atalanta – who insist on receiving their £86m price tag. (L’Equipe)
However, PSG may be getting in more than enough money to cover that, if they manage to get one of their superstars to exit the club. The Ligue 1 champions dropped Kylian Mbappe from their pre-season tour of Japan – adding to the belief that they will insist the 2018 World Cup winner is sold on this summer, rather than letting him leave the club for nothing next season. Bayern Munich – who are close to finalising their terms with the ageing Kyle Walker – are preparing to make a third bid for his England teammate Harry Kane, 29. The German giants are confident that the Tottenham talisman will be on his way to the Bundesliga. (The Times)
Another 29-year-old could be heading Bayern Munich’s way as well. Liverpool midfielder Fabinho looks set to be moving to Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad – but if that falls through, the German giants are willing to invite the Brazilian to stay in Europe. (Sky Germany)
Crystal Palace are confident that Wilfried Zaha will stick around at Selhurst Park, despite a lot of foreign interest from Lazio and Saudi Arabia. The striker is currently recovering from a hamstring injury that curtailed the end of his season in May. (The Telegraph)

AC Milan are close to sealing a deal for RB Salzburg frontman Noah Okafor – previously a target of Premier League Arsenal. The Swiss striker, 23, looks set to be trading Austria for Serie A imminently, and will join on a five-year deal. (Fabrizio Romano)
Brighton have agreed to buy defender Igor Julio for £15m from Serie A side Fiorentina. The Seagulls are concerned that they won’t be able to get Levi Colwill on a permanent deal from Chelsea, and want to beat Premier League and LaLiga sides to secure Julio’s services as they look forward to Europa League football. (Mail Sport)
Manchester City’s Issa Kabore will join Premier League newcomers Luton Town on loan for their first season in the top-flight. The deal will have no buy clause, as the Citizens have an eye on Kabore as one for the future, after tying him to the Etihad until the summer of 2027. (Fabrizio Romano)
Victor Osimhen wants a €120m (£103.8m) release clause installed into a new contract at Napoli. If the striker does stay in Naples – despite Premier League and continental interest – he also wants to make it clear the price it would take for the recent Serie A champions to let him exit the club. (Mirror)
Newcastle United are close to buying Tino Livramento from Southampton. The England Under-21 star was unlikely to stay on the South Coast after their relegation to the Championship – and now it looks like he’ll swap one end of the country for the other, and aid the Magpies in Champions League football.
