Tottenham vs Leeds LIVE: Team news, line-ups and more ahead of Premier League fixture today
Tottenham Hotspur are hosting Leeds United in the Premier League today as they hosts return to action. Spurs’ midweek game across the capital at Fulham was suspended just hours before kick-off due to an outbreak of coronavirus at the west London club, meaning Jose Mourinho’s will at least be fresh for the encounter here with the all-action Leeds.
Leeds come into the game off the back of an impressive 5-0 smashing of West Brom at Elland Road and will be full of confidence that they can get a result against Tottenham. However, Marcelo Bielsa’s side will have to be wary of Tottenham’s lethal counterattack, led by Harry Kane and the in-form Son Heung-min.

Tottenham are unbeaten on the last four occasions that they have hosted Leeds with three wins and one draw.
However, Leeds won 2-1 in the most recent encounter, an FA Cup fourth-round tie at Elland Road in January 2013.
The teams have not met in the league since 2003/04, a season in which Spurs did the double over Leeds.
Tottenham are back in action today after their match against Fulham last Wednesday was postponed due to the Coronavirus. Jose Mourinho was not happy with the way the match was cancelled at the last minute but he says his focus is on today’s game. He told BT Sport:
I don’t want to find any excuses before the game – we have to be focused and optimistic. We didn’t play against Fulham so our preparation was nonsense but let’s be positive.
“We play with a back four – in different matches we make the best decisions for different opponents.
“We go to the game in a positive way and want to win a difficult match. Leeds are a difficult opponent with a style of playing, they go man to man and that creates difficulties.”
Marcelo Bielsa is yet to defeat a team managed by Jose Mourinho but he is prepared for the challenge of pitting his Leeds side against Mourinho’s Spurs. Bielsa said:
There are a lot of differences between this game and the one at West Brom.
“To defend well we have to avoid being countered and we have to manage to get the ball cleanly into the opposition half.
“The past and his history and my history shows the difference in levels between us. It is clear that Jose Mourinho’s achievements are very high.
“But every new game is a new challenge and new aim and today is the same.”
Stuart Dallas is confident that his Leeds side can get a result against Tottenham today and says that they are prepared for Spurs’ counter-attacking prowess:
