Tottenham will push through their £39million move move for Sporting Lisbon right-back Pedro Porro, after Sporting identified Barcelona’s Hector Bellerin as his replacement.

Bellerin, meanwhile, formerly for Arsenal, could swap Spain for Portugal to help facilitate the move.

The North London side had hit a hitch in their pursuit to sign Porro, with the clubs struggling to agree on a payment structure on the deal.
Spurs were growing frustrated with Sporting dragging their feet over a deal when they thought they had made progress last week.
But a move is now set to be completed before Tuesday’s deadline with Tottenham set to secure their main transfer target for the window.
Spurs midfielder Oliver Skipp, meanwhile, could leave on loan.
The midfielder has made just eight league appearances for Spurs this season after establishing himself in 2021-22, struggling to match his past form since returning from a pelvic injury last July.
