Tottenham target Arne Slot sent relegation warning after saying ‘yes’ to Levy
Tottenham target Arne Slot has been warned Spurs could face a relegation battle next season. Jamie O’Hara says the departure of Harry Kane would leave his former club in the mire.
Kane has been by far the standout player for Tottenham this season. He has scored an incredible 28 goals in 37 Premier League appearances and would have eased to the Golden Boot in any normal campaign.
Heung-min Son is the only other Spurs player to reach double figures in the league, with 10 to his name. Kane’s goals on their own have won Tottenham 24 points and has kept them in with a sniff of European qualification.
Kane has not been affected by the uncertainty off the pitch about the future of both himself and the club. Slot is now the No 1 target to become the next permanent manager at Spurs.

Kane can absolutely win a trophy at Spurs, says Levy
Dutch outlet De Telegraaf claims the Feyenoord boss has said yes to Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy. But O’Hara does not envy the squad Slot will be taking over, especially if Kane leaves this summer.
Speaking to Laura Woods on talkSPORT, he said: “Well look, obviously we all hope that he sticks around and signs a new contract. Because Laura, without Harry Kane, I seriously think we could be fighting relegation next season.
“We are that bad without him. We have been solely dependent on Harry Kane to score us goals and do stuff for us.
“And I think the lack of ambition that we’ve shown and the players that we’ve signed that haven’t been good enough, if he leaves, we are in big, big, trouble.”

Manchester United are interested in signing Kane, whose contract expires in 2024. O’Hara would not begrudge him a move in an attempt to win silverware for the first time in his career.
He added: “I feel like he’s got to leave, why would he stay? The guy wants to win something, the guy deserves to win trophies.
“I just don’t see that changing next season. If he doesn’t leave, he lacks ambition doesn’t he? Let’s be honest.
“If he doesn’t leave and a club does come in for him and Spurs go, ‘you know what, we will probably look at having to sell you.’ And he doesn’t go to let’s say Manchester United, then I think he lacks ambition.”
