Tottenham boss Antonio Conte has not taken long to stamp his authority on his new squad. Conte was only appointed Spurs head coach on Tuesday and only granted his work permit on Thursday morning in order for him to be in the dugout for the Europa Conference League match at home to Vitesse Arnhem later that day.
Conte only made one change from the Tottenham side that lost 3-0 to Manchester United in Nuno Espirito Santo’s final match in charge.
Sergio Reguilon came into the team in place of Giovani Lo Celso.
Conte lined up with three at the back in a formation he has enjoyed plenty of success with in the past.
Reguilon was picked as the left wing-back and therefore was close to the touchline during the first half.

And Daily Mail reporter Sam Dean claimed Conte was barking orders at Reguilon regularly to ensure he was in the right position.
Dean tweeted: “At Spurs, where Sergio Reguilon has the fortune/misfortune of being positioned directly in front of Conte’s technical area.
“He’s getting an earful, with Conte repeatedly telling him to come wider & calling him right over to the touchline even when the ball is on the opposite wing.”
Spurs raced into a 3-0 lead in north London thanks to goals from Son Heung-min, Lucas Moura and a Jacob Rasmussen own goal.

Tottenham fans started to chant Conte’s name for the first time.
But Vitesse had not given up and pulled back two goals before the break.
Rasmussen headed home from a corner before Matus Bero reduced the deficit to one.
Before the match, Conte said he had already seen a high level of commitment from his players following his appointment.
The Italian said it is always difficult for players to deal with a new manager coming in during a season.
“It’s always a not easy situation when during the season the club change the manager,” Conte told BT Sport.
“For sure there is a great disappointment but at the same time they have to understand that we have to do better than before.
“But I have seen great commitment, a great will to work. And now we have to do [the work].”
Conte’s first Premier League match in charge of Spurs is against Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday.
