Tottenham REJECT Bayern Munich's latest offer for Harry Kane
Tottenham REJECT Bayern Munich’s latest £86m offer for Harry Kane with the England striker looking likely to stay in the Premier League
- Bayern Munich have seen ‘final’ £86m offer for Harry Kane rejected by Spurs
- It looks increasingly likely England striker will see out the final year of his deal
- The guaranteed portion of the bid, around £73m, was deemed to be too low
Tottenham have turned down Bayern Munich’s latest £86million offer for Harry Kane.
Following the latest set of talks between both clubs last week, Bayern submitted a third bid for the England captain on Friday – but that has now been rebuffed.
Mail Sport revealed last month that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy valued Kane at £120m – despite the fact he had less than a year on his contract.
There has been a feeling, however, that Levy would accept a fee close to £100m given the prospect of losing Kane for nothing next summer.
However, Levy is staying strong with regards to what he views as a fair deal for Kane and has rejected Bayern’s fresh offer.

Sources have indicated that, in particular, the guaranteed portion – believed to be in the region of £73million, of the proposed transfer fee has been deemed too short of Kane’s worth.
Bayern tried to impose a deadline of Friday night to advance the deal for Kane but Levy responded by flying to the United States.
Kane has set his own personal deadline that he will commit to Tottenham for the year if a deal with Bayern isn’t concluded before the season-opener against Brentford on Sunday.
Kane scored four times in Tottenham’s 5-1 friendly win over Shakhtar Donetsk on Sunday, having played a full part in their pre-season preparations.
Spurs fans serenaded the forward with chants of ‘we want you to stay’ as Ange Postecoglou’s side turned in an impressive performance ahead of the new season.
Bayern officials are set to hold a pre-scheduled meeting on Monday and alternative striker targets are likely to form part of the agenda.
Dusan Vlahovic of Juventus has emerged as Bayern’s likely next target if they abandon the pursuit of England’s record goalscorer.
Kane has no intention of signing a contract this summer but it is understood he would prefer Spurs to receive a fee when he moves.

Spurs will hope that progress under new manager Postecoglou might persuade Kane to sign a contract extension with a release clause before he can leave on a free next summer.
Despite Kane performing a lingering lap of honour after Spurs’ win over Shakhtar on Sunday, Postecoglou said he is planning to start the season with him up front.
‘There’s no doubt I’d use Harry,’ said Postecoglou. ‘He’s a fantastic striker, one of the world’s best. The way the team plays will help him. He loves scoring goals, we created a load of chances today and he was the beneficiary.’
He added: ‘There’s one deadline and that’s the end of the transfer window. Beyond that, I’m in open dialogue with Harry and the club on a regular basis.
‘I’ve told them if the status quo changes, inform me. I don’t need to know the comings and goings in between. I just want to deal with what’s in front of me because, irrespective of the outcome of that, I’m building a team here.

‘I can’t wait around for a decision either way to get going. We don’t have the time or the luxury to do that. I’m working with what’s in front of me. You saw today that Harry certainly is invested in what we’re doing and we’ll keep on doing that unless something changes.’
There was also a swipe at Bayern’s very public pursuit. ‘What is factual right now is that he is a contracted player of our football club,’ said Postecoglou.
‘I certainly wouldn’t talk about contracted players at other football clubs but I’m not at Bayern, so they can go the way they want.’
