Tottenham ‘receive official £60m Harry Kane bid’ as Levy’s worst fears realised
10 Tottenham stars 'up for sale' as Lloris to lead clear-out
Tottenham’s resolve has been put to the test with Bayern Munich reportedly submitting an opening offer for Harry Kane. The England captain only has one year remaining on his contract, while Spurs are reluctant to sell their best player to a Premier League rival.
Manchester United were heavily linked with Kane earlier this summer. However, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has long been thought to favour selling the striker to an overseas club.
Kane reportedly has admirers at Real Madrid, but Thomas Tuchel’s Bayern have struck the first blow by submitting an official bid for the 29-year-old. According to The Athletic, the proposal is worth £60million plus add-ons.
It remains to be seen whether Levy will bite at that price, given that Kane is creeping towards his 30th birthday and will be at liberty to leave for free next summer.
