Tottenham have been heavily linked with Fiorentina star Dusan Vlahovic. Despite speculation over Harry Kane, Nuno Espirito Santo wants to partner the Englishman up with a top forward.
Tottenham are looking to ramp up their efforts to sign Vlahovic from Fiorentina after making him an enticing offer.
Spurs are desperate to bolster their strike force amid speculation over Kane’s future with Manchester City looking to land the Englishman.
But Nuno is keen to play with two up front and wants to bring in one of the best young strikers in Europe.
Vlahovic stunned Serie A last season after scoring 21 times to see a number of teams register an interest in the Serbia international.
Atletico Madrid, Inter Milan and Arsenal have all been linked with the 21-year-old.
But Tottenham are prepared to offer the forward a €5m-a-year post tax and bonuses for the next five years including a €2m signing on fee, according to Viola News, via Sport Witness.
Fiorentina are desperate to keep hold of their prized asset and have also looked to sign him to a new contract.
However, their offer fails to come close to Tottenham’s, worth just €3m-a-year.
If Spurs to land the youngster, it will only add more fuel to the fire over Kane’s situation – especially after his absence from their Premier League opener.
The 28-year-old was not part of the squad that took on City on Sunday, who are the favourites for his signature should he leave.
But Kane has been told he should get ready to be involved in the next matches for Spurs by his manager.
“Harry is one of the best players in the world, so we are very lucky to have him,” Nuno said.
“He has to get ready and help the team. We still have to go to Portugal and then we think about Wolves. Harry worked this morning, is preparing himself and when he is ready he will join the group and help the team.”
