Tottenham are among the clubs interested in handing Aaron Ramsdale a Premier League reprieve.
The goalkeeper, who has been named on England’s stand-by list for the Euros, was relegated with Sheffield United last season.
But a number of clubs, Spurs and Wolves among them, are interested in giving Ramsdale a Bramall Lane escape route.

Spurs are planning for life without Hugo Lloris, who is entering the final 12 months of his deal. Lloris has been heavily linked with a move to Paris Saint Germain.
Wolves keeps Rui Patricio is also in the final year of his deal, with Roma said to be keen.

Tottenham are still without a full-time manager following Jose Mourinho’s sacking in April and Ryan Mason’s interim spell in charge, with Daniel Levy speaking to candidates since the end of the season.
Spurs have missed out on Julian Nagelsmann, Antonio Conte, Brendan Rodgers and Erik Ten Hag, but held positive talks with former Roma boss Paulo Fonseca this week.
The Portuguese coach spent two years at the Serie A side before being replaced by Mourinho at the beginning of May.
