Tottenham midfielder Tanguy Ndombele is reportedly considering his options after being left out of two pre-season friendlies, despite being declared fit. Spurs’ club record signing is understandably frustrated with the way things have begun under new boss Nuno Espirito Santo, who has allegedly drawn up a three-man shortlist to bolster the club’s midfield.
Ndombele was Tottenham’s club record signing when he arrived from Lyon for £55million back in 2019.
His performances, as well as hit fitness and work-rate, have both been hit and miss since then, although his ability on the ball is undeniable.
Clearly, Nuno seems to have concluded that the Frenchman is more miss than hit, as he left him out of the squad for both friendlies against Arsenal and Chelsea.
With the player unhappy, Spurs have supposedly planned for his potential exit.

According to the Daily Star, the three men being tailed by the north London side are Bayern Munich’s Corentin Tolisso, Borussia Monchengladbach’s Denis Zakaria and Sporting Lisbon’s Joao Palhinha.
Beginning with Tolisso, the 27-year-old has a distinguished CV with Bayern, Lyon and the hyper-competitive French national team.
With one year remaining on his deal in Bavaria, the club are allegedly keen to offload him this summer rather than offer him a new deal.
All told, Spurs could land the Frenchman for as little as £10m.

If that doesn’t tickle their fancy, another Bundesliga talent is reportedly available in Zakaria.
The imposing Swiss midfielder would cost slightly more at £17m, although Spurs would have to see off stiff competition from both Arsenal and Everton for his signature.
Finally, Palhinha was an active member of Portugal’s Euro 2020 side which is an impressive feat considering they were one of the strongest squads at the tournament.
The 26-year-old only made his international debut this year, after a stellar league-winning campaign with Sporting.

The Portuguese champions could demand up to £34m for their rangy midfielder, although other reports indicate that he could be available for much less.
None are as pricey as Ndombele, however, who Tottenham would undoubtedly take a sizable loss on if they let him go over the next few weeks.
However, Nuno is clearly eager to stamp his authority on the Spurs squad, with three major signings already announced this summer.
Two more could yet be in the pipeline if Ndombele does depart, as the club remain keen to bring in a shiny new striker, who they protest will partner Harry Kane rather than replace him.
