Tottenham chief Paratici "cant wait to see" Harry Kane play amid transfer talk
New Tottenham chief Fabio Paratici has spoken about his determination to keep star forward Harry Kane at the club for the long run.
After a brilliant season where he finished as the Premier League’s leading goalscorer and creator, Kane reportedly made his desire to leave clear as he looked to match his talents with silverware.
Manchester City and Manchester United maintain an interest in the England forward, but Spurs are keen on holding on to their forward and Paratici has made that ambition clear.
“Harry Kane is a top player. I can’t wait to see him playing with Spurs," Paratici told Sky Italy.
“We want to keep Harry Kane at Tottenham, it’s our goal.
"I’ve been lucky to see many top players at Juventus and I want to enjoy Harry Kane too.
“He’s one of the best strikers in the world.
“I’ve not had any conversation with Harry Kane yet – just because I don’t want to disturb our players during the Euros.”
Tottenham recently ended a 72-day long managerial search with the appointment of former Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo.

Spurs sacked Jose Mourinho back in April and while he got a job at Roma just about two weeks later, the North London club had to go through a host of names including Antonio Conte, Paulo Fonseca, Erik ten Hag and more before appointing Nuno.
That has added to the frustration at Spurs, who endured a frustrating season last time around having been top of the league in December before falling down to end the campaign in seventh.
Paratici is looking forward to Nuno’s time at the club.
He added: “The brief for this appointment has always been clear, we wanted a Head Coach that can instil all the values that are important to this football club.
"You only have to look at Nuno’s time at Wolves to see his ability to take a group of players and implement an adaptive style that brings success and allows players to develop and thrive.
"We are all looking forward to getting started in what we hope will be a successful time with the club."
Tottenham begin their Premier League campaign on August 15 with a match against Manchester City.
