Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho is back in danger again. Spurs weren’t good enough on Sunday, losing 2-1 to West Ham with Michail Antonio and Jesse Lingard on target for the Hammers. Express Sport will now take a look at the four players who let the 58-year-old down.
Hugo Lloris
There came a time where Hugo Lloris was regarded as one of the best goalkeepers on the planet.
But the France international appears to be regressing and, against West Ham, didn’t do enough to keep the Hammers at bay.
He saved Antonio’s initial effort for West Ham’s first goal but the rebound was then slammed home.
Lloris should have potentially done better and come out to collect the ball, too, rather than staying still and being punished.
He also fluffed a kick in injury time and Mourinho has a goalkeeping headache on his hands now.

Japhet Tanganga
Another problem area for the club is at right-back.
Japhet Tanganga was given the chance to shine against West Ham but the youngster failed to take it, enduring a rough day at the office.
Antonio capitalised on some lax defending for the Hammers’ opening goal of the game.

He didn’t seem prepared to go forward, either.
And it was no surprise that Mourinho hooked him at half time, with the game simply moving at too quick a pace for him to cope.
Davinson Sanchez
Davinson Sanchez scored an own goal when West Ham and Tottenham drew 3-3 earlier in the campaign.
And he endured a similarly bad afternoon on Sunday.
He was far too weak in the tackle to stop Lingard from scoring West Ham’s second goal and, once again, another individual error has proven costly.
Mourinho likes Sanchez.
But he’ll want the centre-back to cut out the errors in his game that have blighted his season so far.
Eric Dier
Eric Dier is a good asset for Tottenham but, still, there are definitely question marks over his head.
He should have attacked the ball for Antonio’s goal, instead of allowing it to sail over his head.
And that appeared to impact his afternoon, with the England international never able to really recover from that early mistake.
Tottenham certainly need better from their defenders.
And, if they don’t improve fast, then Mourinho’s job will be on the line.
Lucas’ disappointment
Speaking after the game, Lucas Moura admitted Tottenham players were disappointed with the result.
“It’s disappointing because I think we played well and we lost because of our mistakes. We worked hard and we showed a good effort. We just need to think now about the next game,” he said.
“We created chances to score. We had opportunities to win the game. We tried to attack and always looking for the goal but it wasn’t possible. Next game we need to do better.
“I think they [Gareth Bale and Matt Doherty] did well. We tried everything and we had opportunities to score. We need to do better. The two goals we conceded we cannot concede goals like this. We need to learn from our mistakes.
“It’s missing something. But we need to look forward. There are a lot of games to play. We need to improve.”
