Tottenham manager Antonio Conte has reportedly been left unimpressed after a frustrating January transfer window. The Italian appeared to hit out at Levy and the Spurs board during his Friday press conference, with several deadline day departures highlighting a host of transfer mishaps in recent years.
Conte was left frustrated for most of January, and he saw prime wing-back target Adama Traore slip away before deadline day.
Levy reportedly flew to the Caribbean to meet Tottenham owner Joe Lewis shortly after the New Year in an attempt to secure transfer funds for the club’s new boss.
But his trip was seemingly unsuccessful, with Conte made to wait on departures before being able to swoop for players of his own.
The former Inter Milan head honcho had to wait until the final day of the window before Tanguy Ndombele, Dele Alli and Giovani Lo Celso all sealed exits.

Deals for Juventus duo Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur were seemingly lined up, and both arrivals were confirmed shortly afterwards.
Overall, Conte was left ‘distinctly unimpressed’ by Spurs’ dealings last month, according to The Daily Mail.
Sporting director Fabio Paratici, who joined from Juventus in June of last year, has also come under fire after his second successive window which left fans underwhelmed.
Paratici has shown a tendency to survey familiar territory for targets, with a host of recent arrivals coming from Serie A.

But none have hit the ground running, even if centre-back Cristian Romero may have something to say about that when he returns from a three-month injury layoff.
Conte is believed to have accepted the Spurs job, after rejecting it last summer, due to the promise of transfer market funds so that he could build the team in his own image.
While the Lilywhites did eventually pull off two deals which could total up to £60million if certain targets are met, the Italian certainly had to work very hard to get there, and fans were left to sweat until the final day of the month.
Conte’s frustration was made fairly clear on Friday, when he higlighted the ‘very strange’ January window overseen by Levy and Paratici, and which failed to dramatically bolster Spurs’ squad for the remainder of the season.
“For sure, it was very strange to send out on loan four players and one transfer in January, it showed something went wrong in the past,” he said.
“Maybe there were some mistakes in the past.
“You have to buy players to reinforce your team but if you send away players that you bought in the last two or three years it means you did something wrong in the past.”
