Tottenham are attempting to finalise a £20million swoop for Wolves winger Adama Traore.

But Spurs are currently unwilling to let Matt Doherty go in the opposite direction.

Antonio Conte is prioritising a new right-wing back this month and believes Traore can fill the position.

Wolves are aware of Tottenham’s interest in the 25-year-old and are willing to let the Spain international leave this month with Traore entering the final 12 months of his contract.

Sportsmail sources have indicated the possibility of Traore joining Spurs this month are ‘strong’.

As it stands, however, sending Doherty back to Molineux as part of the deal is not a consideration.

Elsewhere, Spurs are looking to sign a new striker to provide competition for Harry Kane. 

Fiorentina’s Dusan Vlahovic is a player Tottenham are interested in.

Conte also wants to sign a left-sided centre back before the transfer window shuts at the end of the month.
