Tottenham, Arsenal and Chelsea all have opportunities to round off their summer transfer business with a hoard of French stars still in the shop window. With deals tumbling as the window draws to a close, the market is no longer ripe with players, although a number of French options could be an answer to the prayers of all those still scouring for talent. Get French Football News have rounded up all of the players ‘on offer’ before 11pm on August 31. Without further ado, Express Sport plays matchmaker on who could link up with who before the summer is out.
Tottenham
With three major signings already announced, Nuno Espirito Santo and Fabio Paratici have been hard at work since settling into their respective roles at Spurs.
The search for another centre-back seems to be something occurring independent of the Harry Kane transfer saga, after Jules Kounde and Pau Torres reportedly turned down the opportunity to move to north London.
Chelsea’s Kurt Zouma could be available, however, and Spurs have supposedly joined West Ham in registering an interest in the domineering 26-year-old.
Something more closely interlinked with Kane’s situation is the club’s search for a striker.

Dusan Vlahovic has been mentioned regarding a blockbuster move from Fiorentina, although Spurs may want to consider Borussia Monchengladbach’s Marcus Thuram.
Son of the legendary Lilian, Thuram has earned four caps for France and the 6ft 4in striker certainly has the physical capabilities to inject excitement into the Spurs frontline.
Chelsea
Despite having two midfielders in the running for UEFA Player of the Year in Jorginho and N’Golo Kante, the Blues are still seemingly intent on going after another.
Both Eduardo Camavinga and Corentin Tolisso have one year remaining on their contracts at Rennes and Bayern Munich respectively, suggesting that the right offer could be decisive this summer.

If boss Thomas Tuchel decides to stick with what he already has in the middle, Barcelona’s French defensive duo, Clement Lenglet and Samuel Umtiti would both happily be escorted out of the cash-strapped Nou Camp.
However, Tuchel’s decision to stick with Trevoh Chalobah this campaign after a strong start could bring their centre-back hunt to an end.
A viable option for the Blues would be to rest on their laurels over the next week or two, but if they do decide to throw caution to the wind, a large French contingent with their futures hanging in the balance would at least grant them options.
Arsenal
The Gunners’ attempt to revamp their strike force has, so far, been a failure. However, as the latest member of the nearly-out-of-contract brigade, Odsonne Edouard could save the day.
Celtic’s 23-year-old has scored relentlessly since moving to Scotland in 2018, and the Glasgow-based side could be forced to cash in on him this summer if they are given the opportunity.
Houssem Aouar is also said to be kicking up a fuss at Lyon having been linked here, there and everywhere this summer without getting his desired move away.
Arsenal have been linked with the Frenchman for years, although the recently completed signing of Martin Odegaard could prompt them to think twice before pulling the trigger.
