Damsgaard plays as a central midfielder but can also be deployed on the left wing, with his utility coming in handy for any suitors.

And Jose Mourinho has reportedly added Damsgaard to his shopping list ahead of the summer transfer window as he eyes attacking reinforcements.

And he has clearly caught the eye of Serie A giants Juventus, having stood out so far in Italy.

Damsgaard has featured 22 times in all competitions this season for Sampdoria, scoring twice and laying on four assists for his team-mates.

The youngster’s last assist came on Sunday when he made an instant impact off the bench to set up Keita Balde for Sampdoria’s equaliser in the 80th minute at Benevento.

Damsgaard made his senior debut for Denmark last November and he will be hoping many more international caps follow.
