Tottenham and Chelsea offered Paulo Dybala but have doubts about Juventus star
Tottenham and Chelsea will both be offered the chance to sign Paulo Dybala this summer.
But neither club are currently preparing a bid for the Juventus forward.
Chelsea are focused on trying to win the race to sign Borussia Dortmund ace Erling Haaland.
And Blues boss Thomas Tuchel believes Dybala is too similar in profile to the likes of Kai Havertz, Mason Mount and even Timo Werner.
Spurs tried to sign Dybala while Mauricio Pochettino was still in charge and remain interested under Jose Mourinho.
But they would need to sell players to make any move work, with Dele Alli’s future still in doubt.
In addition, both clubs have concerns about Dybala’s recent record, with the Argentina forward currently out with a knee ligament injury.
The 27-year-old has only managed three goals and two assists in 16 games for Juventus this season.
And the Serie A giants are looking for a transfer fee of over £40m despite Dybala’s contract ending in June 2022.
The player is understood to have rejected a new deal with Juve and with no further talks currently planned he is set to hit the open market.
Intermediaries have already approached Barcelona and Paris St-Germain about the possibility of a move and other contenders are likely to emerge.
Dybala turned down a switch to Manchester United in 2019 and it remains to be seen whether the Old Trafford giants will renew their interest.
