Former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino has tipped the Blues to sign Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland in a ‘mind boggling’ deal this summer.
Cascarino is adamant his former club can seal a potentially record-breaking transfer to bring the 21-year-old Norway striker to west London; despite reports suggesting he can leave next summer for £64 million due to a clause in his contract.
Chelsea have already sold Olivier Giroud to AC Milan and Tammy Abraham appears to be on his way out of Stamford Bridge; with Arsenal amongst a host of clubs chasing his signature. Cascarino told Talksport the Blues are moving players on in order to fund a move for Haaland.

Cascarino believes his former club will ‘break the bank’ to sign the Norway international
‘Some people will say that doesn’t work but clubs are trying to abide by the rule and they have to move people out.’ The former Republic of Ireland striker told Talksport.
‘For them to do that they are going to do a mind-boggling transfer and I think it will be Haaland.
‘Whether everyone says no it’s next year and that’s in his contract, Chelsea are going to offer big money for somebody and I suspect it will be him.’
Dortmund meanwhile are reportedly close to signing PSV Eindhoven’s Dutch forward Donyell Malen, a potential replacement for Haaland.

And Cascarino is confident the Blues will spend the money required to secure one of the most sought after players in world football.
‘Chelsea have earned a lot of money over the last year or so, Champions League and selling of Hazard. They make quite a lot of money.
‘I cannot believe they aren’t going to break the bank to get someone like Haaland. They are going to do a really big transfer in my opinion.
‘It’s been so quiet but the storm is coming. Roman has always done it. He’s always backed it up, I’d be gob smacked if they go in with the squad they’ve got today even though they are European champions, expect a really big deal from Chelsea.’
