Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly has delivered an optimistic prediction, suggesting his side will thrash Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter-final tonight.
The Blues travel to Spain to take on Carlo Ancelotti’s side and Boehly believes that despite a poor run of form in the Premier League, Frank Lampard will guide his side to victory tonight.
He told Sky Sports News: ‘Chelsea’s going to win 3-0.’
The American then continued to deliver a message to the Blues fans, who have travelled to Spain to support their side tonight.
‘I’d say have a lot of faith. We’re going to win 3-0 tonight,’ he reiterated.

Lampard got off to a poor start to his second spell at Chelsea as Matheus Nunes’ strike saw his team fall to defeat at Wolves, making it three games without scoring for the Blues heading into their clash with Real Madrid.
However, the head coach will be hoping he can draw on experience of winning the European Cup back in 2012, as Enzo Fernandez revealed conversations with his boss over past triumphs.
‘Frank told us to keep our heads straight,’ Fernandez said. ‘He told us he won the Champions League in 2012 and mentioned it was in his worst moment at Chelsea. That is a great example for us.’
However, when speaking before the match, Lampard has been reluctant to draw comparisons with 2012 boss Roberto Di Matteo as he insisted: ‘I have to be careful making that parallel.’

Boehly is clearly confident, though, as he gave his optimistic prediction before sending a message to Chelsea’s fans about the future of the club following Graham Potter’s dismissal.
‘We look at this as a very long-term process,’ he continued.
‘We have a lot of work to do. We’re excited about the future. The future is bright, we’re excited.’
Chelsea are searching for their fourth manager under the new ownership already, with Thomas Tuchel relieved of his duties in September before Potter and Lampard were trusted with the squad this season.
Luis Enrique and Julian Nagelsmann remain the bookmakers’ favourites for the job, with the Spaniard already holding a formal interview over the vacancy.
Both of the managers will no doubt have their eye on the result against Real Madrid, with Nagelsmann’s former employers Bayern Munich suffering a 3-0 defeat to Manchester City under former Chelsea boss Tuchel last night.
It remains to be seen as to whether the Blues can put together an impressive run in the competition again, but if they are to do so they must beat Real Madrid first.
Then comes the prospect of potentially facing old foes Man City, who they beat in the 2021 final, while one of Inter Milan, Benfica, Napoli or AC Milan will be waiting in the final.
