Three times Mohamed Salah’s agent has spoken out to defend Liverpool star
Mohamed Salah's agent was quick to hop on social media last night after seeing the Liverpool forward hauled off by Jurgen Klopp with Liverpool 1-0 down to Chelsea at Anfield.
The solitary full stop used by Ramy Abbas Issa said it all – he was clearly as fuming as Salah when it came to the substitution.
Early this morning the tweet had already gained over 3,000 retweets and was being widely discussed by the football community.
But this is not the first time Abbas Issa has had his say when it comes to Salah and situations that irk him.
Here are some other times the agent has felt it necessary to vent his feelings when it comes to the Egyptian forward.
In 2020, Abbas Issa felt the need to jump on social media and defend Salah after Sky Sports sparked an Instagram debate over whether it was time for Liverpool to sell Salah.
Writing on Twitter, the businessman said: “In 2017/18 M.Salah was the team’s top scorer in both the Premier League, and the Champions League. In 2018/19 M. Salah was the team’s top scorer in both the Premier League, and the Champions League.
“This season M. Salah is the team’s top scorer in both the Premier League, and the Champions League.
“Since joining Liverpool FC in 2017, M. Salah has missed out on zero Golden Boots. And he’s not a CF.”
In 2019, Salah’s agent also went public to deny the authenticity of a report linking his player with a move away from the club.
Spanish outlet AS talked up the possibility of Real Madrid or Barcelona making a big-money move for the forward.
But Issa took to Twitter to calm any nerves among Liverpool fans.
Salah’s representative simply and cheekily posted: “Talking out of their AS again I see.”

However, back in 2018 Issa was forced to shut down rumours regarding an extended stay on Merseyside.
Reports claimed that the Reds winger was intending to sign a new deal at Anfield worth £200,000-a-week, with 'friends' of Salah cited as the source in the article.
Again, Issa took to Twitter to respond to the stories.
He said: “We don't discuss career plans 'with friends'.”
