Manchester United star Paul Pogba continues to be linked with a move away from the club as his long-running contract saga goes on. With less than a year before United could lose the Frenchman for free, the Red Devils could be forced to cash in on him in January which looms just around the corner.

Pogba started the season in scintillating fashion, notching seven assists in his first four Premier League games.

At that point, the United board were surely tempted to give in to whatever contract demand came their way, although his form has slowed down since.

His short cameo during Liverpool’s 5-0 massacre at Old Trafford was ended prematurely for a red card after a high tackle on Naby Keita.

That leaves his future well and truly up in the air, and Express Sport looks at three possible destinations for the 28-year-old in January.

Paris Saint-Germain

The French side were perhaps most heavily linked to Pogba during the summer, although a move never materialised.

With the midfielder reserving his best performances for the French national team, there was a general feeling his true talent could be unlocked on a consistent basis in Ligue 1.

However, not every PSG fan was elated with the prospect of Pogba heading to the French capital as a banner was unveiled at the Parc des Princes.

His talent could still be a huge asset on their unwavering quest for Champions League glory, however, so don’t be surprised to see that interest rekindled if a cut-price deal presents itself in January.

Real Madrid

With a 6ft 3in frame, mesmerising feet and an eye for the spectacular, Pogba certainly fits into the ‘Galacticos’ mould.

An ageing midfield contingent of Luka Modric and Toni Kroos could provide the perfect opening for United’s tricky midfielder should he be tempted by a move to the Bernabeu.

Led by Carlo Ancelotti, Los Blancos have made a promising start to the La Liga season, losing just once in their first nine games.

Supposedly, Real Madrid’s preference would be to acquire Pogba for free next summer, although they are reportedly on ‘red alert’, according to AS, ahead of the January window.

Juventus

Having left United for Turin once already way back in 2012, Pogba quickly showed what Sir Alex Ferguson had been missing out on.

Indeed, his superb four-year spell with Juventus prompted the Red Devils to fork out a world-record fee to bring him back to Old Trafford.

It has not exactly been smooth sailing since, and with Pogba recently claiming that he keeps in touch with Bianconeri ace Paulo Dybala, a return could well be on the cards.

According to The Daily Star, the player’s agent Mino Raiola has already set up a meeting with the Italian side to initiate discussions.
