Thomas Tuchel’s wife Sissi chooses FA Cup final to change her matchday routine
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel’s wife Sissi is changing her match day routine – by watching the FA Cup final at Wembley.
The German is taking on the biggest game of his career at Stamford Bridge so far, with the finale of the domestic tournament against Leicester.
While the squad is expected to look very different to the team that lost 1-0 to Arsenal, the pre-match routine has remained intense.
But Tuchel’s wife Sissi, who has been married to the manager since 2009, is changing up her approach to match day for the FA Cup final.
According to the club’s website, the 47-year-old’s other half will be at the game ‘for the first time’ since the German took the helm from Frank Lampard.
His children, though, are ‘too young’ to be at the 90,000-seater stadium for the cup clash with Leicester.
But the website has revealed that Tuchel will not ‘religiously’ follow his own pre-match routine which is ‘not set in stone’.
Tuchel has turned Chelsea’s fortunes around since arriving in January, taking the west London side from ninth to the last place available in Champions League qualification.
They have also reached consecutive FA Cup finals, having lost last year to Arsenal, while a Champions League final awaits against Manchester City on May 29.
While the German’s side have been formidable, the manager himself has also attracted attention due to his coaching methods.
Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta said: “Communication is not only hugs, he shouts as well! To correct mistakes, when you are not doing something perfect.

“In training maybe it’s a bit more relaxed but it’s true he is very specific, he goes into the detail. At the highest level, every single metre can make a difference.”
But Tuchel’s desire to shuffle his team around on a regular basis could give him a disadvantage against Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester in the FA Cup final.
