‘Things could move quickly’ for Man Utd takeover after Glazers green light
LGBTQ+ activist concerned by potential Qatari takeover of Man Utd
A Manchester United takeover could move ‘quickly’ once the Glazers finally pick a preferred candidate, it has been claimed. The family are yet to decide on what to do with the club after receiving offers from Sheikh Jassim and Sir Jim Ratcliffe. However, news of the situation being able to evolve will boost Erik ten Hag as he looks to strengthen the squad this summer.
Manchester United remain in a state of flux as the end of the season creeps closer.
Takeover uncertainty has surrounded the club ever since November, when the Glazers first indicated they were open to a potential sale.
But journalist Ben Jacobs has handed Ten Hag a boost by saying things could move ‘quickly’ once the Glazers finally decide on a preferred bidder.
Ten Hag is currently waiting to see what happens so he can add to his squad in the summer transfer window.
Jacobs told GiveMeSport: “These kinds of deals take as long as they take in many ways.

“Until a singular group is chosen, it’s very difficult for things to progress.
“The upside is that a lot of what has gone to date is in many ways transactionally backwards and would be traditionally associated with a period of exclusivity.
“Those logistical elements, including preparation for a Premier League Owners’ and Directors’ Test and due diligence, are sometimes the time-consuming things.
“Because they’ve been done ahead of a preferred bidder at large, it does mean if the Glazers choose to green-light something, things could still move reasonably quickly by takeover standards.”
For now, however, the Glazers are yet to lean towards one particular party.

Sheikh Jassim has made four offers for the club, with rival Ratcliffe making three bids of his own.
Ratcliffe is willing to let brothers Joel and Avram Glazer stay at United in reduced roles.
Under INEOS rule, the siblings would then be permitted to sell their existing shares for a premium further down the line.
Yet Sheikh Jassim only wants 100 per cent control and won’t let the family stay at the club in any role whatsoever.
There’s also the possibility the Glazers will opt against a total sale and accept minority investment.

Elliot Management, who previously held power at Serie A giants AC Milan, are one firm willing to cough up cash to aid the family.
And Carlyle Group are another consortium ready to give the Glazers money to use on things such as the redevelopment and refurbishment of Old Trafford.
Meanwhile, Gary Neville recently opened up on the takeover process and once again pleaded for the Glazers to pack their bags and leave for good.
“I’ve not heard the pledges that have been made by any of the bids,” he said.
“At the moment, there’s the Jim Ratcliffe bid, the Qatari bid and a number of US investment funds.
“I don’t want private equity into an English football club, I’ll be really clear. I don’t think it works.
“I think football is about emotion. Believe it or not, in Manchester, I have a partnership with a US private equity fund and in other sectors of life, I love international investment.
“But I think in football clubs, you can’t go into it purely because you want to see a return.
“When it comes to the current bids, at this moment in time, I think Jim Ratcliffe’s bid has its merits, the Qatari bid has its own merits.
“My main concern at this moment in time is that the Glazer family sell and that they remove themselves from the club. They’ll make a lot of money, well done for that.
“They’ve proved to be very astute business people but now it’s time to hand over control because the club has deteriorated under their ownership.”
