Thiago Silva led wild celebrations from the stands as the defender embraced team-mates Mason Mount and Jorginho after Emerson’s 94th minute goal booked Chelsea’s place in the Champions League quarter-finals.
The Brazilian was missing through injury while Mount and Jorginho were both suspended for the second leg tie at Stamford Bridge.
Silva was animated throughout the game and could be seen shouting instructions to Chelsea’s players on the pitch as they looked to hold on to their 1-0 lead in the second half.

Hakim Ziyech had put Chelsea 1-0 ahead in the 34th minute before Emerson’s late strike made it 2-0.
Emotion took over once Emerson ensured the Blues would be progressing to the last eight with a breakaway goal in the final minute of the game and defender pulled Mount and Jorginho into a bear hug.
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel praised the influence of the players in the stand in his post-match interview.

Emerson scored with his first touch to ensure Chelsea’s place in the quarter-finals
He said: ‘(It was a) very good performance, unbelievable team effort from guys on pitch and bench and in stands, could really feel we wanted it, we go through deserved.
‘We had possibility to hurt them on the counter, they tried to press us high but they opened up space in back of midfield and exploit it, after that we had chances to make a second goal shortly after, we also suffered in second half, and we were ready to do what we needed.
‘We missed Thiago and Andreas (Christiansen), big personalities, Zouma steps up, the guys protect themselves, courage and reliability key in defending, this is what it takes with luck and a good goalkeeper.’
Olivier Giroud’s over-head kick from the first leg meant Tuchel’s side won 3-0 on aggregate.

The victory puts Chelsea in the quarter-final draw for the first time since 2014 but they survived an early scare when Cesar Azpilicueta avoided giving a penalty away after a clumsy challenge on Yannick Carrasco.
Stefan Savic was then sent off in the 81st minute for an elbow on Antonio Rudiger.
The Atletico defender caught the Chelsea man in the ribs and was shown a straight red by referee Daniele Orsato
