Thiago Silva couldn’t help but make a jibe at the expense of EAFC 24 after they dealt him a rating he didn’t agree with for their upcoming game.
The Chelsea defender joked that the developers must be ‘watching football with their eyes closed’ when he was told about his rating, which has declined.
EAFC, the successor to the FIFA game series, comes out on September 29 and EA are unveiling various player ratings.
Silva has been assigned a rating of 84, a decline of two which puts him on par with Reece James and only two behind Chelsea’s top-rated star, Christopher Nkunku.
‘They’re not watching football, they’re watching the games like this [with their eyes closed],’ he said as he covered his eyes in a video on the Premier League’s YouTube channel.

Asked if he would change any of the individual attribute ratings he was given, he said: ‘Not really.
‘I think that obviously offensively I can improve because I didn’t get a single goal last year.
‘This year I think I can improve my attacking because defensively I’m good.’
Ahead of the release, ratings for various players have seemingly been leaked. It looks like Cristiano Ronaldo is set for his lowest rating in 16 years at 86, while Lionel Messi will go into the game as one of the best in the world with a rating of 90.
EA Sports officially revealed the ratings for Chelsea players and the club has seen some poor ratings after their 12th-placed finish in the Premier League last season.
Raheem Sterling has been slashed from 86 to 83. Only he, Nkunku, Silva, James, Enzo Fernandez, Ben Chilwell, and Moises Caicedo have ratings over 80.
Expensive signings Romeo Lavia and Cole palmer are stuck with silver cards, the former with a 73 rating and the latter with a 66.
