Tanguy Ndombele 'will REMAIN at Tottenham' after the transfer deadline
Tanguy Ndombele ‘will REMAIN at Tottenham’ after the transfer deadline as the north London side ‘have not been able to find a suitable deal in time’ for the out-of-favour midfielder
- Tanguy Ndombele has found himself marginalised under Nuno Espirito Santo
- The Frenchman has not featured and appeared to be targeting a move away
- He is now reportedly set to stay with club and player running out of time to sort
Tanguy Ndombele appears set to stay at Tottenham beyond the end of Tuesday’s transfer window.
The Frenchman has found himself marginalised by new boss Nuno Espirito Santo since he arrived in the summer and Ndombele has not featured despite being fit to play.
Ndombele was believed to be looking to move on by Sky Sports News report that both the club and the player have accepted they have left it too late to find a ‘suitable deal’ to allow him to leave.

The 24-year-old has endured a tough time in north London since his club-record £55million move from Lyon in 2019 and he has played no part of the season so far while his future is sorted.
And he has not won much support from his new boss Nuno, who has said his job ‘isn’t to convince players to play’.
He said: ‘What I can tell you is that Tanguy is with us, he works but we have to speak honestly.
‘The best out of Tanguy has to come from himself. It has to come from himself. I don’t want to go much further than that but it has to come from himself.
Ndombele earns in the region of £200,000 per week and that has made any exit trickier
‘I must speak to Tanguy before even addressing you. We already had a chance to talk but it must come from himself.
‘I said it before: my job here is not to convince players to play for Tottenham Hotspur, it is to prepare players to play for Tottenham Hotspur.’
Any deal, with swaps reportedly proposed by Bayern Munich and Juventus, are complicated by the fact the midfielder reportedly earns £200,000 per week in north London.
If a sale was to be the strategy then it is unlikely Spurs would have wanted a fee in excess of £50m.
