Supercomputer’s final Premier League table is bad news for Chelsea and Liverpool

A supercomputer's final Premier League table is bad news for fans of Chelsea and Liverpool.

BonusCodeBets have predicted this season's final league standings with the help of a supercomputer, with the title race, the fight for European football and the relegation battle all decided. However, the table makes for bad reading if you are a fan of either Chelsea or Liverpool, who both miss out on a place in the top four.

The supercomputer's predicted final table has the Blues in seventh place, one spot behind their fierce London rivals Tottenham Hotspur, who end the campaign in sixth.

Seventh is an improvement of three places on Chelsea's current ranking, with Graham Potter's side down in 10th and 10 points adrift of the Champions League spots.

However, a seventh place finish would be a considerable disappointment after their heavy January spending and would at best only give Chelsea qualification to the Europa Conference League unless they win this season's Champions League.

As for Liverpool, who are ninth in real life, Jurgen Klopp's men are predicted to miss out on Champions League football for the first time since the 2016/17 season by finishing in fifth.

A late season climb up the table will fall short for the Reds, according to the supercomputer, which has them finishing one place behind Newcastle United.

Who will qualify for the Champions League this season? Let us know in the comments section below.

The Toon Army are joined in the top four by Manchester United and Manchester City, with Arsenal expected to end the season as champions and win a first league title in 19 years.

Arsenal are currently five points clear of City at the top of the table after 19 matches and have a game in hand on the reigning champions.

At the bottom of the table, Southampton, Everton and Bournemouth are predicted to face relegation to the Championship. Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest are slated to avoid the drop by one place.

A BonusCodeBets spokesperson explained: “Our supercomputer that previously predicted Arsenal would start to crumble and finish below Manchester City has changed and it looks like the Gunners will stay on top.

“Manchester United are set to finish third and it might come with a bit of a shock that Newcastle are predicted to finish fourth, ahead of Liverpool in fifth and Tottenham in sixth.

“Southampton, Everton and Bournemouth are set to finish at the bottom of the table and Bournemouth could be heading back to the Championship after a short stint in the Premier League.

“Arsenal sit at the top of the Premier League at the moment, five points clear of Manchester City, so it will be interesting to see if things stay the same.”
