Strange Man Utd scenes as fan pictured getting haircut in Wembley seat
Brighton vs Manchester United in pictures
Bizarre scenes during the FA Cup semi-final saw one Manchester United fan pictured getting a haircut from a barber while sat in Wembley seats watching the match. United papered over the cracks as they progressed into the final of the competition by winning on penalties after a goalless 120 minutes of football against Brighton.
Despite looking assured defensively, Erik ten Hag’s side lacked the ability to break down Brighton despite having the pacey front three of Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and Antony. During the underwhelming performance, one United fan took the opportunity to get his haircut from a barber while sat in the Wembley seats.
Red Devils’ fans were pictured looking in amazement as the supporter was sat wearing a barber’s cape while somebody stood in the Wembley gangway stood cutting his hair. @UtdEIIis posted a picture of the haircut with the comment: “Someone’s getting a trim at the game.”
The picture has been viewed over 1.8million times with fans quick to joke about the reason for the haircut. @BikaSamuel said: “When you have an FA cup semi final at 5 and a first date at 8.”
Meanwhile fans wondered what would have happened if United had scored the winning goal while the haircut was taking place. @utdaarron added: “Peak if we score, his hairline is finished.”
United’s eventual victory on penalties marked their second cup final of a first season under manager Erik ten Hag – after winning the League Cup in February with a 2-0 victory against Newcastle United. If Ten Hag is to complete a cup double in his debut season he will have to overcome Manchester City, themselves eyeing up a treble.

The United boss said that his side will “give everything” to wreck the treble hopes of their Manchester rivals in the FA Cup final on June 3. He said: “We will give everything and when I say everything, that is everything, more than 100 per cent you can’t do, the fans can rely on that.”
However, Ten Hag knows the challenge which his side faces in repeating their 2-1 success over their rivals earlier this season. He added: “We have to play the perfect game, it was the perfect game we played this season and we have to go again, we know that.”
