Kane, who scored his 30th and 31st goals of the season in Friday night’s 2-2 draw at Everton, faces a race against time to be fit for next Sunday’s Carabao Cup final with Manchester City.
The potential injury blow will also be a serious concern for England manager Gareth Southgate, with Kane expecting to be a major part of the Three Lions’ European Championships bid in June and July.
The summer tournament kicks off on June 11 and runs until July 11. With 34 goals in 53 international caps for England, Kane is an irreplaceable part of the Three Lions squad.

Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho claimed after the Friday night clash that it was too early to determine the severity of the injury and vowed to be optimistic.
‘It is too early to say something,’ said Mourinho. ‘For him to leave the pitch with a few minutes to go is obviously because he felt something.
‘Let me be optimistic and believe that he has time to recover. Let’s see. Let me be optimistic and believe it’s nothing serious. It’s obvious he’s a very important player for us. I cannot say much or speculate.’
Kane took to Twitter to offer an opinion on the game, saying it was disappointing not to get three points and that a big week was coming up for Tottenham, who also face a Premier League fixture against Southampton on Wednesday night.

Kane’s injury will be a concern for England manager Gareth Southgate ahead of the summer
The 27-year-old striker has already suffered one ankle injury this season in January and February but only missed two Premier League matches – defeats to Brighton and Chelsea.
Any prolonged absence for Kane will be a further blow to Tottenham’s top-four aspirations after they threw away the chance to claim three points at Everton on Friday.
Kane gave Spurs a first-half lead but a brace from former Tottenham midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson turned the tie in Everton’s favour.

Tottenham’s talisman found a late equaliser but his celebrations were shortlived as he would leave the pitch prematurely after feeling a setback in his ankle.
Spurs are now five points behind fourth-placed West Ham having played a game more than their top-four rivals, who include Chelsea, Liverpool as well as Everton.
Mourinho’s men have six games left in this Premier League season to revive their Champions League qualification bid, but a spot in the Europa League would be confirmed should they beat Manchester City in next Sunday’s final.
