Southampton are bottom of the Premier League with just one win in their last 12 top flight games, and are in need of arrivals to boost their survival bid

Orsic has scored eight goals and provided seven assists in the Croatian top flight this season.

He is perhaps best known to English sides for his hat-trick against Tottenham to dump them out of the Europa League in 2020.

The 30-year-old also scored at West Ham in the Europa League last season, and netted the winner against Chelsea in their Champions League opener this season – Thomas Tuchel’s last game in charge.

Alcaraz meanwhile has been linked to sides including Inter Milan and Benfica.

The 20-year-old has scored 12 goals and provided six assists in 83 appearances for Racing Club.

Southampton do have a chance to jump out of the bottom three when they play Nottingham Forest on Wednesday night.
