Solskjaer to hold Man Utd transfer meeting with multiple stars up for sale

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will hold a transfer summit in the coming days to finalise the club's targets for the summer.

The Red Devils finally appointed a new football director this week, with John Murtough landing the role while Darren Fletcher was named technical director.

The pair, along with Solskjaer, will meet with United director of football negotiations Matt Judge and Ed Woodward to thrash out their plan for the summer window, according to the Sun.

The publication reports that four key positions have been outlined, with Solskjaer ready to axe a group of his current first-team stars.

A new striker is top of the shopping list, with Edinson Cavani unlikely to be handed an extension to his current Old Trafford deal.

The club are also open to selling Anthony Martial for the right price.

20-year-old Borussia Dortmund sensation is high on United's wishlist but will be chased by the likes of Real Madrid and Manchester City this summer.

A new central midfielder is on the cards, with Declan Rice highly thought of by Red Devils chiefs.

That would mean Nemanja Matic makes way, with Benfica reportedly interested in his services.

Paul Pogba's future in England also remains uncertain, with the Frenchman previously wanting a new challenge.

In between the sticks, Sergio Romero is set to leave – and David de Gea could also be on his way out due to his excessive wages.

Daily Star Sport revealed on Saturday that Nick Pope is top of Solskjaer's list when it comes to a new goalkeeper.
