Solskjaer confirms Man Utd injury boost but issues players with stern warning
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has told his Manchester United players they will come unstuck if they start to believe their own hype.
A point at Burnley tomorrow will be enough to send United top of the Premier League for the first time in two-and-a-half years.
If they can avoid defeat at Turf Moor, United will occupy top spot going into Sunday's eagerly-awaited showdown at arch rivals and champions Liverpool.
Solskajer is keen to play down United's title hopes and warned his squad they must remain humble and risk undoing all their good work if they think they have cracked it.
“We have to be aggressive, be humble and don’t think you've cracked it if you're near the top,” said Solskjaer.
“That’s not the type of players we have. We need to be hard to play against no matter what, but the group mentality is improving all the time.
“Now it’s a different challenge, we're in this position, we have to focus on this game and this game only.”
Solskjaer had positive news on Luke Shaw, Paul Pogba and Victor Lindelof, all of whom missed the FA Cup win over Watford, as well as Eric Bailly, forced off by injury at half-time.
Solskjaer said: “All of them trained today. Paul and Eric didn’t do it all, but Luke and Victor did.
“I’ve a decent amount of players. We’ll see with Eric and Paul how they are tomorrow.”
