Sky Sports interview bloke at FA Cup final – unaware he ‘played for Everton’
Fans think Sky Sports picked out ex-Everton and current Tranmere Rovers star Peter Clarke on his way to the FA Cup final.
When asking for predictions from fans, the presenter stopped a man with his two kids, both dressed in Liverpool kits. It was explained the three had come down from Merseyside last night to watch the cup final at Wembley.
However, fans said on social media they think it's Clarke, who is currently at Tranmere Rovers, but he started his career in the blue half of Liverpool. Clarke turned out for Everton nine times between 1999 and 2004 while on the books of the Toffees.
One fan was quick to point out: "Played in a derby for Everton just like blues Carragher and Fowler played for Liverpool!"
"Who knew Peter Clarke was a red? But then again at least I know who Peter Clarke is," another joked. While a third tweeted: "Would’ve guessed he was an Evertonian after starting off with them."
A fourth said: "That's hilarious. Clarkey should have done 'do you not know who I am?'"
