Sheff Utd looking for worker to help players with easy tasks including big shop
Premier League side Sheffield United is looking for a worker to be available 24/7 to help its pampered stars do a big shop.
They must also help them find schools for their kids, sources of entertainment and even local churches and mosques if they want to worship. An ad for the Bramall Lane player liaison chief reveals a dizzying list of seemingly mundane aspects of life that most people take in their stride.
Candidates are told they must: “Develop a network of contacts who can be on hand 24/7 if needed such as: estate agents, car suppliers, food providers, entertainment, travel companies. Help ensure the smooth transition into local life for the family of first team players and staff. Look to build relationships with local organisations and establishments to aid with this.

“A good understanding of different faiths and religions can support with sourcing where the player and or family can practice their faith (if applicable).”
The job notice also says the worker will help open bank accounts for stars and will: “Support first team players and staff in sourcing vehicles, helping to arrange meetings and collections.”
They will also sort language lessons for foreign stars and will “arrange house viewings, handle lettings and agreements, house removals, and the completion of relevant paperwork to ensure a smooth transition into accommodation for first team players and staff”.
