‘Sensational’ Jack Grealish hunts down Mo Salah and sets up goal moments later

Jack Grealish incredibly hunted Mo Salah down before setting up Man City's equaliser against Liverpool.

With the Reds leading 1-0, Salah encroached upon City's penalty box when it was two-on-one at the back. Salah was on the brink of delivering a square ball to the incoming Cody Gakpo before Grealish saved the day with a heroic interception.

His valiant effort was given a standing ovation by the crowd and they were even more ecstatic when the midfielder turned from protector to provider just moments later. Grealish's interception put City on the offensive and he was in the right place once again when he received the ball on the wing and drove it into Liverppol's penalty area into Julian Alvarez's path, who slotted the ball into the back of the net to bring the scores level.

Jubilant scenes ensued at the Etihad as the fans and Erling Haaland who was sidelined for the clash celebrated wildly. And supporters on social media also praised Grealish for his incredible impact.

One fan applauded: "Grealish huge deny against Salah and then assists Alvarez, you man cant slander this guy anymore." A second user commented: "Grealish sprints back to stop Salah scoring then assists Alvarez a minute later is superb btw."

Another user offered: "Im not his biggest fan but Jack Grealish has been sensational. From stopping Salah on the counter to providing the assist. That’s outstanding." Then, a fourth supporter added: "He is cooking these days tbh, best LW in the premier league."

And a fifth fan boasted: "He’s been out of this world today." After the game, Grealish will likely tuck into his post-match five-dish Chinese takeaway that costs over £50. Speaking of his love for the Asian cuisine, he said: "Yeah, I love Chinese, man. After every game I get one. I go to Wing’s in Manchester.

“I usually get a takeaway. I have Singapore chow mein, I have egg fried rice, I have salt and pepper chips, I have salt and pepper prawns and then curry sauce. I then mix it all in and have a big free for all.”
