Scott Parker admits that he is on the brink of being SACKED by Club Brugge… despite having only been in charge for THREE months winning just TWO matches while suffering 3-0 loss to relegation contenders on Friday

- Parker’s team have won just two of their last 11 matches across all competitions
Scott Parker has reportedly admitted he may be on the brink of being sacked by Club Brugge, despite having only been in charge at the Belgian side for three months.
The Englishman was sacked from his post at Bournemouth last August before moving to the Champions League side at the start of 2023.
Since then, results have left a lot to be desired, with Parker’s side winning just two games of the 11 matches he’s been in charge of, culminating in Friday night’s humiliating 3-0 defeat to relegation contenders Oostende.
It was a serious low point for the 42-year-old, who, according to TalkSport, claimed he may not be in charge at the club for much longer.
When questionned on his future, the former Fulham boss said: ‘I’m not sure about that, it’s a question I can’t answer.’
Scott Parker admitts his future at Club Brugge is in doubt after the club’s recent poor form
The 42-year-old’s side suffered a devastating 3-0 to relegation challengers Oostende on Friday
Despite recent poor form, Club Brugge still occupy fourth place in the table, but are a massive 20 points adrift of Genk who occupy the top spot in the Jupiler Pro League.
His side had looked to turn a corner last week with a big 2-0 win against Gent, who are also vying for a place in the top four.
But his team looked a very different side on Friday night against Oostende, and a deflated Parker couldn’t put his finger on why his side were so different.
‘I have no explanation for that huge difference,’ he said.
‘We have to question ourselves deeply how we can perform like this after the match in Gent.
Oostende celebrated their 3-0 win against Club Brugge in huge win in relegation fight
Parker’s side had previously recorded a huge 2-0 win to fellow European challengers Gent
‘I certainly have solutions,’ he added.
‘This is a challenge and a fight for me, like I’ve had many in my life and in football. I want to stand back.’
It is the first time Parker has managed outside of England, following his spells at Fulham and Bournemouth.
After achieving promotion with the Cherries last season, Parker was sacked after just four games in charge, one of which included a 9-0 loss to Liverpool at Anfield
And speaking exclusively to SportsMail back in January, Parker had said ‘he had the fire back in his belly’ to take on the managers post at Club Brugge.
Despite recent form winning two games out of 11, Parker issued a rally call to his players
And while doubts remain over his future, Parker called on his players to rally and fight through this difficult period.
‘As a team, we now have to stick together and work hard to turn this situation around,’ Parker continued. ‘Coming into this situation will define who we are as a team and individuals.
‘We are not where we belong, I won’t deny that. The results are not there.
Their next game comes against Benfica on Tuesday in the Champions League last 16
‘I certainly did not see this 3-0 defeat coming and cannot be justified. It went wrong everywhere.’
The Belgian side are in action next against Benfica in the second leg of their last 16 Champions League tie.
His side come into the match 2-0 down on aggregate, following their loss to the Portuguese side at the Jan Breydel Stadium back in February, in Parker’s European managerial debut.
