Sancho's apology to Manchester United fans proves Keane prediction right
Jadon Sancho has issued an apology to Manchester United fans after a 4-1 defeat to Manchester City on Sunday, a move predicted by Roy Keane which the Irishman described as ‘garbage’.
The Red Devils competed pretty well with the Premier League champions at the Etihad in the first half, with Sancho’s goal levelling things up at 1-1, before Kevin De Bruyne scored his second before the break.
City ran away with the game in the second half, though, completely dominating possession and scoring twice more, with United accused of giving up by Keane and Gary Neville after Riyad Mahrez made it 3-1 with over 20 minutes to play.
Sancho has promised for more fight from the United team going forward, in a social media apology to fans.
‘Apologies to the fans… It’s not good enough,’ Sancho wrote on Twitter. ‘We have to look ourselves as players and work hard to make things right. We will keep on fighting.’
