That wasn't the only moment that was questioned by fans during the broadcast, with a loud noise likened to an orgasm being heard loud and clear.

With Nathan Are grabbing the only goal of the contest in the second-half, Gabriel Martinelli looked to be in for Arsenal before the offside flag was raised.

However a sharp sound of enthusiasm interrupted Matterface as the forward burst through, leaving viewers back home feeling baffled.

Fans took to Twitter to ask what had happened – with memories of the recent sex noise that interrupted a BBC Sport FA Cup broadcast.

One Twitter user wrote: “Nah but why did 30 people in the ITV commentary all orgasm at that Arsenal chance then?”

Another tweeted: "Wait what was that on ITV then when Martinelli went through," while a third added: "Why could I hear the pundits from ITV just then scream oooh?"
