Sam Kerr helped push Chelsea to the brink of a fourth straight Women’s Super League title in England, providing a key assist in their crucial 2-0 win over Arsenal.
Just before half-time at Kingsmeadow on Sunday, the Matildas star delivered a pinpoint header for captain Magdalena Eriksson, on her last home appearance before leaving at the end of the season, to nip in and bundle home Chelsea’s second goal from close range.

Arsenal, with Matildas Caitlin Foord and substitute Steph Catley in their ranks, tried to battle back in the second half to keep their faint title hopes alive, until a penalty screwed wide by Katie McCabe all but ended their hopes.
Foord also hit the bar, but it proved in vain for the third-placed side.
Kerr had a goal disallowed early for offside but Guro Reiten put Chelsea ahead after sliding in at the far post to turn in a sweeping Eve Perisset cross in the 22nd minute.
The win means Emma Hayes’ side is on the verge of another domestic trophy “double” following victory over Manchester United in the FA Cup final last week, sealed by Kerr’s now-habitual winner.
However, second-placed United have not quite given up the title chase.
In the day’s late game, the Red Devils ensured the race will go to the final day next weekend by beating Manchester City 2-1 with a stoppage-time goal from Lucia Garcia. United are two points behind Chelsea with an inferior goal difference. They play Liverpool in their final game on Saturday.
