Football League hopefuls Wrexham moved with one step of promotion on Tuesday after a 3-0 win over Yeovil Town took them four points clear.
The National League leaders used their game in hand to its fullest to establish an almost unassailable lead at the head of the standings. Tuesday's dominant victory at the Racecourse Ground means a win at home to Boreham Wood on Saturday would guarantee a first-place finish—and promotion to League Two.
Hollywood actor and celebrity co-owner Ryan Reynolds wasn't in attendance for the midweek win, but fellow invest Rob McElhenney appeared to cheer on his players in person. He appeared alongside 'It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia' co-stars Charlie Day, Glenn Howerton and Kaitlin Olson (also his wife), with the troupe currently touring the UK and Ireland.

Tensions were high at half-time in northeast Wales after neither side managed to find a breakthrough. However, finishes from Anthony Forde, James Jones and Paul Mullin in the final half-hour wrapped up a convincing win, relegating the Glovers in the process.
Phil Parkinson's side recently beat Notts County to once again take the reins in the National League. However, the single automatic qualifying spot is now truly theirs to lose, with two chances remaining to make good on their promotion quest.
Will Wrexham apply the finishing touches to their promotion push on Saturday? Let us know in the comments section.
Wrexham's away form has wavered of late to cause a few concerns, picking up a single point from recent trips to Halifax Town (3-1) and Barnet (0-0). Their home form has been a different matter, however, having won eight in a row at the Racecourse Ground.
It bodes well for their chances of applying the finishing touches to their promotion push come Saturday. Boreham Wood are no slouches themselves sat sixth in the National League, though their form shouldn't be enough to concern the Red Dragons too greatly.
Reynolds may be wise to make his way back to Wales in time for that clash, having become a regular fixture at games since purchasing the club in early 2021. The club's executive director, Humphrey Ker, recently remarked Reynolds and McElhenney are "never out of the dressing room" and have helped drive a wealth of attention to the town.
Wrexham may well have to perform their own graft to seal automatic promotion, too, considering Notts County have a routine-looking penultimate fixture. The only other team who can take top spot, they travel to last-place (and already relegated) Maidstone United on Saturday but have to hope Wrexham drop at least two points to have any chance at winning the title on the final day.
