Ruthless referee books 16 players inside just one minute after consolation goal
A 10th division Czech football club made history after having all 16 of its players booked at the same time.
The players of TJ Sokol Upohlavy couldn't help but celebrate a goal scored in the 82nd minute by Martin Blizil to lessen their deficit to 6-1 on Saturday (November 4). The consolation goal prompted all 11 starters, as well as their five substitutes, to take their tops off and wildly celebrate the strike.
Unfortunately for the entire squad, removing your shirt in football will grant you a yellow card and the referee didn't hesitate to brandish the booking for all 16 players in an epic moment in Czech football history. Despite the eventual 6-2 mauling at the hands of TJ Sokol Libochovany, the team remained buoyant in the face of defeat – if their Facebook post was anything to go by.

"The last game didn’t really go our way, but our players maybe set a world record," the team wrote on the social media platform. "When you underperform, what’s left is a sense of humour." Some questioned the logistics of booking 16 players at the same time as the referee was unable to do that due to the players taking their shirts off, the official couldn't see their kit numbers.
What he did do was enter the bookings in the match report as the transcript of each Upohlavy player's name had a yellow rectangle placed alongside it which signified a yellow card which went viral on social media. The 10th division side is based in the Czech village of Upohlavy, which has a population of just 276 people and is 50km northwest of the Eastern European country's capital Prague.

Football website 433 got wind of the stunning situation and posted a graphic of the result and the 16 players booked on its Instagram page with the caption: "All 16 players booked in the 82nd minute in CZ 10th tier after taking off their shirts during the celebration of their consolation."
Some users had some theories on what happened, with one writing: "They lose every match so they decided to take off their shirt if they score and it happened" while another suggested the significant amount of bookings wasn't that special by commenting: "Average sunday league match."
