Ruslan Malinovskyi’s wife has hinted her husband could be on the move this summer amid transfer links to both Tottenham and Nottingham Forest. The Ukrainian international is among a long list of players that could potentially be set to move on in the final weeks of the summer transfer window with Atalanta open to offers for their attacking midfielder.

Malinovskyi captured the hearts of the football world by standing strong alongside his compatriots during Russia’s invasion of Ukraine earlier this year – dedicating his goals to his home nation.

The 29-year-old has carved out a very respectable career in Serie A side his 2019 move from Genk, scoring 22 times in 101 outings in Bergamo.

In the past few days, Italian reports have claimed Spurs have begun to explore the possibility of a transfer with Atalanta while Nottingham Forest have also shown a clear interest in Malinovskyi.

Taking to Instagram, his wife Roksana Malinovskyi has hinted her partner could in fact be on the move – despite the pair securing their dream home in the region of Bergamo.

She wrote: “Guys, we already bought out house in Bergamo 2 years ago. Only now it’s over and we’ve moved in.

“Slowly I’m finishing up with the boxes. Bergamo and our home, we have nothing else but football is life, they are united for there is nothing more important than Ruslan’s family and career.

“If he can’t stay in Atalanta, he has to find another solution of course it’s a shame for us all.

“That’s football life though. He must think of his future as a professional footballer.”

Tottenham are in the market for an attacking midfielder and links to Malinovskyi have escalated this week – although it’s currently unclear whether Spurs hold a genuine interest in the attacker.

Last week, Roksana also posted a picture on Instagram of some luggage and packed bags outside of their family home in what many fans believed was a hit the player was off.

She later clarified in response to her husband’s future at Atalanta amid claims they will try to move the dead-ball specialist on: ““Guys, your messages break my heart. This is as unexpected for us as it is for you.

“But nothing has been decided and it does not depend on us. Please be patient. I cannot remain silent just because you are worried, and I do not want this.

“You have to know one thing: I never leave you. Bergamo is our home. But football life it’s too hard. You never know what to expect. We love you!”

Forest’s £44m move – including add-ons – for Morgan Gibbs-White is likely to spell the end of Forest’s interest in Malinovskyi.

The big-spending Tricky Trees could now smash the £150m mark should Gibbs-White finalise his move to the City Ground.

Furthermore, as an attacking midfielder, he also plays in a similar position to the Ukrainian.
